Above I created a outfit on Polyvore; based on a exact outfit I wore a few weeks ago. I wore a white ruffle pin-tuck blouse with a mesh peter pan collar by Lauren Conrad from her Spring 2013 line with a black cardigan over it, paired with my cobalt blue jeans, accessorized with my peacock headband and peacock necklace. Finished off with my gold medallion black flats. I also wore a oval purple gem stone ring with turquoise and blue accents but I did not have a picture of it to show. Hope you enjoy!

White, Black, & All That Sparkles . . .
So on Sunday it was my 23rd Birthday. It was pretty great. I got to go to a panel and Meet & Greet for one of my favorite shows "Once Upon a Time" in Beverley Hills and managed to get autographs and a Happy Birthday by Ginniefer Goodwin. I will write a post about my experience later.
My sister gave me some black flats with a gold medallion in the middle (Inspired by Tory Burch) and she gave me a top from the new collection of LC Lauren Conrad. Ever sine I got it I have been thinking of ways to style my cute new shirt. So far I have come up with the above set I made on Polyvore. I paired the shirt with my black straight jeans. For shoes I added the new flats my sister bought me that are inspired by the Tory Birch flats. As for jewelry i came up with stacking my pearl bracelets, gold with diamonds chain bracelet, with my gold bow with diamond bracelet. Finished off with my Gold bow stretch ring. Because we all need to wear bags I added a long envelope clutch. For my hair I figured it would look best in curls.
Well that is what I have come up with so far. I hope you liked it. And if you have any ideas on how to style my new shirt feel free to let me know, I would love our input.

Spring 2013 Lookbook: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
New season means new wardrobe additions in my closet. One of my favorite clothing lines has to be LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's. It is affordable and true to Lauren Conrad's personal style which I love and admire. The lookbook for her Kohl's line just came out and I could not be more excited about it. Here are a few pictures from her line . . .
As usual Lauren Conrad sticks to feminine blouses, pops of colors, and prints (especially polka dots). I always love how classic and girly her pieces are. I fell in love with her Spring, Summer, and Fall line from 2012, and I am in love with this one as well. I personally cannot wait to get my hands on something from her affordable line.
Do you like Lauren Conrad's Spring collection? If so what would you love to buy? Let me know in the comments below.

The Style Series: Classic
Welcome back for the third installment of "The Style Series". I know it has been a long time since I have written one these and what better time to begin writing these posts again than now. I was very excited to write this edition of "The Style Series" because although I tend to like different styles of clothing, in my mind my main style is a mix of girly, preppy, chic, and classic. To me the classic style is timeless and can never be boring because it can easily be re-invented time and time again.
Classic Style:
A classic style is all about sticking to preppy basics, using clean cut lines, and simple silhouettes. Despite the simplicity of this style, it is far from being boring. With accessories and good styling you can take this from plain to chic in a matter of minutes.
Classic Wardrobe Basics:
When trying to achieve a classic style you should stick to basic clothing pieces that will never go out of fashion but always will look modern. Jeans to any closet is a obvious choice, you can dress them up or down. I love my straight leg and bootcut jean so chose your favorite cut of jeans and stock up on different colors. Another obvious and basic essential are plain tees in your favorite cuts and many different colors. The ways to style plain tees are endless and easy to layer and can bring and outfit together. The little black dress is really something every girl should have, you can wear it casually and formally. To sum it all up just about every piece on this list is very versatile and can be easily interpreted into your own style.
Clothes:
- Jeans
- Plain Tees
- Little Black Dress
- Trench Coat
- Blazer
- A-Line Skirts
- Vest
- Oxford Shirt
- Striped Tops
- Pretty Blouses
- Flats
- Boots
- Pumps
- Oxfords
Classic Accessories:
The key to make this style stand out and not boring is by spicing it up with classic but trendy accessories. Aim for accessories that are modern enough to currently be used but not trendy enough that they will go out of style in a couple of seasons. However, once you can have enough modern classic pieces that can be used for years, you can mix in trendy pieces to your wardrobe (I do that all the time). Accessorizing is always the best way to change things up in a outfit and make it truly your own.Accessories:
- Statement Jewelry
- Charm Bracelets
- Pendent Necklaces
- Diamond Stud Earrings
- Scarves
- Skinny Belts
- Pearls
- Watch
Classic Beauty:
Finish off your entire look by keeping your look as natural, simple and pretty as you can. To maintain being the natural beauty that you are.Makeup:
- For your eyes go for brown and beige eyeshadow colors. Line your eyes with eyeliner if you like or skip the eyeliner and go straight for the mascara instead.
- Dust a soft pretty blush like in a peach/pinkish tone on the apples of your cheeks for a nice subtle flush.
- Complete the look with a classic lip in red. If you don't like red lips going for a pink lip or a nice lip gloss will go nice as well.
Wear simple and pretty hair styles that do not take as much time to create but still look fabulous. Some suggestions are . . .
- Pretty Pony Tails
- Headbands
- Braids
Style Icon:
Aside from being a force to be reckon with and being my personal fashion icon, Lauren Conrad is the perfect example of the classic style. She knows how to use classic pieces and how to put them together to achieve a modern, effortless look that is all her own.We can all take some serious pointers from her on how to achieve a classic style.
I hope you have enjoyed this edition of "The Style Series" and I hope you pick up a few things from here and add it to your own amazing style.

I Went Shopping: LC Lauren Conrad Mini-Haul
Let me just start this post by saying that I love Lauren Conrad!! Seriously, this girl is my fashion soul mate. No other person has inspired me with my style as much as she has. So it is a surprise that I had not bought anything from her more affordable clothing line at Kohl's. After years and years of drooling over her line each season I finally took the plunge and made my first purchase from her LC Lauren Conrad line, and I cannot be happier!
The first item I purchased from her line is this chiffon peplum vest in a dusty rose color. The princess seam makes it very flattering on my body, and very easy to layer. I love it so much that I wore it the very next day with jeans, white v-neck, leopard flats, gold sparkly bangles, and a long gold leaf necklace. I do wish it has a button or clip to close it with but it is okay, I can easily sew on a button on myself. I can't wait to find more outfit ideas!
The other thing I purchased from her line is this gold-tone starfish pendant necklace with green beaded details, and simulated pearls. I am a Pisces so naturally I am attracted to the ocean and things related to it, which explains why I felt my heart stop when I saw this. I still have not had the chance to wear this but I am sure it will be soon since the starfish pendent makes it perfect to use in the summer.
This may be the first time buying from the LC Lauren Conrad line from Kohl's; but it wont be the last time! I guarantee it. Have you bought anything from the LC Lauren Conrad line? Is he also an inspiration like she is to me? What have been your recent buys? Let me know in the comments below . . .

The Style Series: Girly
Hey there beautiful gals! I'm back for another edition of "The Style Series". Last time I wrote a post for the style series you had voted for a Boho Style and according to your votes the majority of you wanted to see a Girly style. If you would of asked me what my personal style is I would have to say girly, classic, and preppy in a heart beat! So it is no surprised why I looked forward to write this edition of the style series.
Girly Style:
A girly clothing style is all about looking feminine sweet, sophisticated, pretty, and put together all the time. A true girly girl will always walk with grace and confidence wherever she goes. Whit her charm, friendliness, well manners and sweet style she will make friends wherever she goes.
Girly Wardrobe Basics:
The essentials of having a girly style is all about light colors such as pastels, and pretty detailed pieces. A pretty dress and skirts are the main wardrobe pieces for this style, but if you aren't comfortable wearing dresses and skirts do not worry you can still wear jeans and look girly. You migth be shocked to see cute graphic tee's on the list but hey even girly girls need a rest from dresses, skirts, blouses, heels, and flats. Even jeans, cute sneakers, jeans, and a few girly accessories can make the most casual outfit look girly. Overall details like bows, lace, sparkle, pretty colors and florals are the type of details and patterns that will make a girly style.
Clothes:
- Flowy Dresses
- Cardigans
- Skirts
- Detailed Tops
- Camis
- Cute Graphic Tees
- Jeans
- Flats
- Heels
- Wedges
- Sandals
- Sneakers
Girly Accessories:
No outfit cannot be complete without accessories. In my opinion accessories really tie in the whole outfit, and can change a outfit in a matter of seconds by adding or changing things. Much like a girly wardrobe the accessories are soft, detailed, and sweet pieces. Show what a sweetheart you are by adding pretty pieces in pastels, flowers, and bows. Also try layering jewelry such as multiple necklaces (different lengths) with different pendants and charms to create a pretty, fun, stylish look.
Accessories:
- Delicate Necklaces
- Statement Necklace
- Pearls
- Charm Bracelets
- Diamond Stud Earrings
- Scarves
- Structured Bag, .
Girly Beauty:
Finish off your entire look by remembering to keep your look soft and natural to maintain this sweet feminine look.
Makeup:
- For your eyes use purples, pinks, silver and shimmer to highlight your gorgeous eyes.
- Add your favorite pink color blush to your cheeks.
- Complete the look with a soft pink lip color and gloss.
Hair:
For hair the go-to hair style are pretty soft curls, but if you do not have the time or patience like I do you can keep you natural hair texture and just add pretty hair accessories. Here are a few suggestions. . .
- Curls: Add a cute clip or headband.
- Top Bun: Add a pretty ribbon around the bun and tie at the bow for a ballerina feel.
- Twist and Pin: Gather two inches of hair and pin it with pretty bobby pins. You can do it on one side or both if you like.
- Goddess Braid: Gather two inches of hair from the front. Braid the section, and pin it to the side.
Style Icon:
Okay so I know Blair Waldorf is a fiction character but come on the girl has style! She is the perfect example of a girly style. Even though she wears dark colors she still has the girly vibe by using the girly elements such as lace, floral, layered jewelry, and amazing to die for accessories. We should all have a little bit of Blair Waldorf in our wardrobe.
I hope you ladies enjoyed this post and you will take these tips into consideration to bring a little bit of girly into your life. Sorry it took me a really long time to post it but now that I did I hope you ladies enjoyed it. Don't forget to follow, comment, and vote on the next style series post.
XOXO, Mayra
