Wardrobe Essentials: Clothes every girl should have in her closet

Hello lovelies! For my first article I decided to do something really basic and really simple. Something that can help girls who want to make the best out of their wardrobes. So I decided to write about wardrobe essentials that can be useful for any girl's closet. Sure its fun to follow trends but trends come and go, neon could be in this season but out the next which is why it is wise to invest in key pieces that will help you year round.

Jeans:  Whether you prefer skinny, straight, wide legged, or boot cut  jeans it is important you spend the time to look for a good fitting jean. Don't automatically go for the seasons trendy jeans just because everyone else has them. Go for a pair that fit you great and that you can move in. Once you found your perfect cut stock up on different washes I would recommend on having dark blue and black jeans because they are the must versatile. My favorite cut has to be straigth legged because they aren't as tight as skinny jeans and allows me tuck it in my boots or to show off my shoes without having excessive material around it.

Plain t-shirts: What I love about plain t-shirt is that it can bring a outfit together when you have a lot going on. Like if you are wearing a pattern skirt a plain t-shirt brings the outfit together without competing with the skirt. Just like they are different cuts of jeans they are also different kinds of t-shirts to explore, from crew neck, scoop neck,to v-necks. My personal favorites are scoop neck and v-necks but  once you find your own personal favorite that works for you make sure to also stock up on different colors in short sleeves and long sleeves.

Tops: Just as equally  important as t-shirts are pretty tops. Getting some in different styles, patterns and colors are also a great addition to your closet. It adds more pzazz to a outfit and makes it more interesting. Sometimes they can even become great conversation starters.

Oxford shirts: A nice solid colored button up shirt is such a preppy American classic that it had to be put into this list. You can dressed them up for a job interview or for work and can just as easily wear them with jeans and flats (how chic is that!) I love them in white and light blue because they are the easiest colors to style. You may think a nice button shirt may not be necessary in your wardrobe but trust me you never know when these might come in handy.

Cardigans: I love cardigans! You can wear them any season. They are also a great way to add color to your outfit. And they look so classy and put together that you can easily throw one on any random outfit and will instantly make it classy and chic.

Jacket: Now for those days where having a cardigan wont warm you enough it is a good investment to have a good jacket in a neutral color that will go with mostly every outfit. I love cropped jackets because they emphasize my waist but If that doesn't work for you it is okay because they are many different jackets out there for you.

Coat: Another great piece to invest in is on a good coat. I love coats so much that I always find myself wishing for one cold day to wear my coat. Find coats with cute little details like bows or with a different patterns like polka dots or in houndstooth like mine for a cool retro vibe. Or if you rather have a simple look you can always buy one in a neutral color and just pin a pretty brooch for a clean sophisticated look.

Summer Dresses: Now I don't like to led on that I love summer dresses because I don't have
the best legs out there but living in Southern California where we have perfect weather most of the time has definitely make me love summer dresses so much that they have to be put in this list. Summer dresses are the epitome of girly-ness, the possibilities on how to style these fabulous dresses are endless. You can even wear them during the winter months (if the weather allows it) by just adding opaque tights or leggings under the dress with a cardigan over it.

LBD (Little Black Dress):  Now no wardrobe list would be complete without the Little Black Dress. Invented by Coco Chanel and made famous by Audrey Hepburn in her movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" where she glamorized the big screen in her iconic black Givenchy dress, the little black dress is definitely something worth investing in. What is great about owning a LBD is that you can never go wrong whit these fabulous dresses. No matter how you style it you will always end up looking glamorous.
