Makeup Brushes Every Girl Should Have . . .

On one of my very first blog posts I posted a article about  Makeup Essentials Every Girl Should Have, So it seems appropriate to write about makeup brushes we need to apply our makeup. Why do we need makeup brushes you ask? Why can't we just use the makeup applicators that come with our makeup? Well let me tell you why, makeup brushes make applying your makeup hygienic, more accurate, precise and prettier look. They are so many makeup brushes out there that are used for different purposes that you can even end up with at least 30 different brushes. If that is a bit overwhelming for you or are just starting to use makeup and don't know what brushes you need to start your collection keep on reading as I break it down for you. . .

          1. Stippling Brush: The reason I chose a stippling brush instead of a foundation brush is because I believe that using a stippling brush will give you a more airbrush look than a foundation brush would give you. Also this can be used to highlight and to add translucent powder.

          2. Powder Brush:  If you use powder on your face using a big fluffy powder brush it will distribute it much more evenly than a sponge.

          3. Blush Brush: Ditch the Barbie applicator that comes along with your blush and swap it with a blush brush that will make your cheeks look way better than that dingy brush ever could.

          4. Eyeshadow Brush: Using a eyeshadow brush to put on your eyeshadow really does make a difference on how your finished eye look will be.

          5. Blending Brush: When you use more than one eyeshadow color on your eye it is important to blend in the harsh lines.

          6. Crease Brush: Add definition to your eyes by swiping a darker color than the color you are using on your lid to the crease of your eye.

          7. Flat Angled Brush: This is a great multipurpose brush that you can use to fill in your eyebrows with, use to put on creme eyeliner, or to add eyeshadow to the bottom of your lash line.

          8. Lip Brush: Define your lip shape or build up the lip color on your lips by using a lip brush.

      Tips:
  • Test out the brushes against your face, if they don't feel soft against your skin they are no good.
  • Wash your makeup brushes at least once a week to prevent bacteria from spreading.
  • Use a spot cleaner between colors on your eyeshadow brush to stop colors from blending into one color you don't want.
      Best Inexpensive Makeup Brush Brands:
Makeup Brushes can get very expensive and although I believe it would be a good investment to splurge on great makeup brushes (M.A.C , Sigma, Bobbi Brown) when you are in a budget a splurge like that can be unreasonable. But thankfully there are great inexpensive makeup brush brands that wont break the bank.
  • E.L.F
  • Sonia Kashuk
  • Coastal Scents
  • Eco Tools
  • NYX
What is your favorite makeup brush brand? Did you splurge on your makeup brushes or decided to save until you are able to can afford high brand? My main brushes are from the E.L.F Studio Line and a Sigma blending brush. Thank for reading and being patience with me, I love you guys! You mean the world to me.
